Can you help me identify this tree?
Last winters brought it down but maybe I can propagate it and replant elsewhere.
It survives 5B zone's weather (pretty cold, a lot of snow).
Does anyone know which tree species it is?

Duv310660 on May 16, 2015Looks much like my Montmorency cherries, but your blooms have much longer anthers. I am 5b also; I didn't think black cherries over-wintered. Choke cherries do, but I am not that familiar with them. Black knot fungus a real problem here; check your area for cultural notes/prevention.Helpful Reply

Dorothy on May 18, 2015Bark says cherry of some sort. The chokecherries I've had had flowers in longer racemes rather than clusters as seen in photo. Might check with your local agricultural extension agent.Helpful Reply
