Jeanette S on Oct 11, 2014Get it out of there! Weed that is noxious! That fuzzy tassel is full of seed and they will spray all over your yard. Cut off the tassel very carefully and put it in a plastic bag before you pull up the rest of the plant. You don't want to jerk this out of the ground and shake the seed about your yard!Helpful Reply

Judy on Oct 11, 2014Either corn or millet, I'd need a closer look at the tassel to be sure. Could be squirrels buried seeds from a neighboring bird feeder.......natural feed for the wild birds. Leave it for them.Helpful Reply
