Hello. I am having trouble growing a bay Leaf tree & rosemary-tips?

The rosemary are usually get from the grocery section and it just does not seem to thrive and die shortly after I bring it home the same with my Bay Leaf tree I do not want to give up I’m growing herbs so can you help me Thank you
