Blue berries like an acidic soil. I spread pine needles all around my bushes and they respond well.

Need to add a mixture of garden sulfur and ammonium(or aluminum) sulfate. Need an inexpensive pH meter to bring pH below 5
Try adding leftover coffee grounds to help with the acid soil
