Hello Cba, I divide them throughout the growing season, sometimes you can just wiggle out a section with roots of the plant clump to transplant, or they can be dug up and cut with a knife much like a hosta.
I recommend dividing your Lamb's Ear in the Spring when they begin to grow. Just use a shovel to divide them and remove them for transplanting. Keeping the roots intact is very important. Wishing you well.
