Use dowels to give the ivy a base to grow on. In garden centers, craft aisles, with school supplies, etc. you can also tie colorful ribbons or bows every foot or so. Attach the dowels to the house or plant them in a deep flower pot. Sealing tape or duct tape will hold the dowels end-to-end. Best wishes!

Hi ! You can shape it , by making a form and as the ivy grows , wrap the vines around the form , this can be done with both indoor and outdoor ivy . To make a heart form , take a wire hanger , or a thick aluminum craft wire found at Michael's , or in some dollar stores and shape it into a heart shape with a stick base , you can twist several pieces of wire together to get the size and shape you want. Don't worry about how this looks , because the ivy will cover it .

You can make your form into any shape , peace with , bird , house ....I

For indoor you can put battery operated mini lights through the ivy , for outdoor you can use solar mini lights .

For outdoor ivy you can also find a pretty trellis for the ivy to grow on .

You can buy topoi shapes at garden centres. Or trail up a fence or lattice.
