How can I save my plants from freeze?

    If they are potted you can bring them inside, if they're in the ground cover them with plastic and fabric that's lightweight ( I use old sheets).

    Hello there. Cindy here. If you will be pruning your plants, begin by removing all the leafs and debris. Then put 4 or 5 inches of mulch all around your plants. This will protect the roots for the winter. It's all about protecting the roots. Another method is to put cardboard on the root systems. (That's what I do.) Be sure to put large rocks on the cardboard to hold it in place all winter. Next Spring, after threat of frost is over, remove the cardboard. Your plants will begin to sprout. Hope this helps you.     Wrap them up in burlap which will not only protect them but lets them breathe as well. Worked for me when I lived in NY with the snowy winters. Saved all my plants and bushes this way.
