same problem. St A grows in shade but mine died back after tree grew up. It's pretty bare yet there are still bare grass runners, just no grass on them. Help?
Did the grass seed state for Shade? Did you add any amendments before putting the grass seed down?
I don't think that will grow well under there. But, creeping red fescue will if you don't mind a different grass. You could just plant something else like cast iron plants for ground cover.
It's the trees roots. They are using up all of your surface water. Water this area more thoroughly or plant something else.
