They need more natural light in the winter as houses are usually darker in the winter or use a grow light. They also need more water as most houses are dryer and the heat dries out the soil.
Trim a third of the length off trailing plants, and trim any straggly ends off other plants. Fertilize them with indoor stick fertilizers and remember to only water them when the soil feels dry half an inch down. Over-watering in heated room will kill plants. Also remember to put the pots in saucers so as they are not sitting in soggy, wet soil.
Isabelle, you probably over water in the winter and if your house is like mine, there is not enough light.
I bring all mine under my pagola in winter to prevent frost from killing them.
