Hello Beten,
I just used ordinary multi purpose compost to plant mine up and they are doing real well!
Slice-off one of the blades near the base, let the cut end dry. Then pit the cut end in a small pot of moist soil & keep it fairly well watered. The blade should root off & create a new plant.
