I would like to start planting seeds indoors here in the northeast, but I don't want to start them too early. When should I think about starting them?

Hello Janet! Think about when you would be transplanting your plants and the weather you would need for the plants to establish themselves outside and grow. You will also need lots of room and good light if you plan on starting a numerous amount of plants. https://www.gardeners.com/how-to/how-to-start-seeds/5062.html

Seed packages usually tell you how long it takes to germinate and when they should be put outside, usually after frost, if you have any. Give your seeds at least 7-10 days to germinate and two months after that. Once they come up give them good light so they do not become spindly.
