How often to apply material to change hydrangea from pink to blue?

Answered
When planted 3 years ago the hydrangea flowers were blue "Nikko Blue" - for 2 years now the flowers have changed to pink and I would like them back to the traditional color of blue.

You will need to change the ph level of your soil as that is entirely what determines the colors of flowers.Helpful Reply -

Acid soil makes them blue. Commercial Soil Acidifier at the rate specified on the package. Soil pH can also be lowered (more gradually) by applying an acidic organic mulch, such as pine needles or pine bark. Used Coffee grounds add extra acidity to the soil. Adding your used tea bags (dried out and opend up) , which contains tannic acid, also might bring on the blue colorHelpful Reply -
