I would break it in half, and then if it is a large one, you can break it in half again. Have your selection all ready for you to plant this other 1/4 into, with a bit of peat soil, all ready, with some water in it as well. Do NOT do this in the heat of the day, but in the cool part of the evening. Best wishes, J.
