    They don't mind a heavy/constant pruning

    I am from Pensacola and am surprised that the frost hasn't gotten it by now. We used to have citrus and other frost sensitive plants that had to be protected.

    I had one that struggled for years and I decided to get rid of it. Don't put herbicide on it. It was like fertilizer and kept growing better than ever! They do get enormous. Monstera Philodendron can grow up to 70 foot vines. To transplant cut the leaves back, then dig up the roots.
