You could try coral bells, coneflowers, cast irons and some types of peonys. For the cheapest options head to your home store and read the labels. For more expensive, but really good stock, check out High Country Gardens. They have plants specifically for your zone, guarantee them and won't send them (or charge you) until its the right planting time for healthy results.
