Pick them before birds or bugs ruin them, ripen indoors, or sunroom if you have one. When near ripe refrigerate.
It might need to be crosspolinated- good luck!
When I have figs that do not ripen, I start pulling off some of the leaves. This way the energy from the plant goes into the figs ripening and not into maintaining the leaves. I found this 3 years ago online when I Googled the same question you had. I hot figs that stay small and green for probably 3 weeks with no change and was getting frustrated. I would strip 2/3 of the leaves off of my tree. I didn't do it all in one day. I did it over the course of about a week. And the figs grew so fast and ripened very quickly. Even by taking 2/3 of the leaves off the tree, there were still so many leaves on there
