It could be scale. Scale lifts off easily with the edge of a fingernail and is a common peace lily pest.

It may be a sign of pests. "The plant may have a pest problem and the pests are secreting honeydew. It would be almost the consistency of water, only very sticky. I would recommend spraying down the plant with water and then follow up with a spray treatment of neem oil to take care of the pest in question, likely aphids or mealybugs. The honeydew on the floor can normally be cleaned up with some good old soap and water." https://questions.gardeningknowhow.com/tag/peace-lily-plants/page/2/

    Hope this helps!

Hi Kate, hope this helps, Most likely sticky leaves on indoor plants is a sign that you have an infestation of scales, tiny insects that latch onto your plant and suck out its moisture, excreting it as this sticky substance called honeydew.

check to see if it is scale that is causing your sticky plant foliage. Look at the undersides of the leaves and the stem. Scale insects appear as tiny bumps that are tan, brown, or black in color and look kind of like seashells. What you’re looking at is the insects’ hard outer shells that are impervious to insecticidal soap.
