repot it in fresh soil, and spray it down with horticutral soap, and bring it indoors with a humid area

  • Trim the fronds as they die off. Keep in a west or south facing window till next spring.

Don't forget to give them a dose of Epsom salt when you water them. 2 tablespoons to a gallon of water. This should keep them nice a green. I put mine in the shower. Give them a nice shower of cool water, leave them over night in there then before moving them back to a south window. You don't need to do the epsom salt every time but I do at least every 3 to 4 weeks.

Bring it inside, keep it out of direct sun, keep it moist, spray fronds every few days, keep it away from a heat source and, if possible, keep the air around it humidified.

Certainly bring it inside. They do not like the cold at all. Bring it into a fairly bright room if possible but don't place it in direct sunlight or it will burn.

Of course you can winter Boston Ferns. It is all about moisture and keeping it out of direct sunlight. Mist the fern daily and water the soil when it feels dry but don't over water.
