I would recommend an hydrangea plant. The flower is about 5” round. It is a perennial that grows into a bush. It is both very easy to care for, and to propagate.

      Thank you Margaret,

Hydrangea is one of my favorites. We managed to kill 2 out of 4 last season but want to replace the 2 we lost this season. Thanks

Cone flowers are something you'll recognize when you see them. The name comes from the shape of the center of the flower. I'm well south in SC and on the ocean, on an island loaded with deer. Cone flower does fine here. Also known as Rudbeckia and Black-Eyed Susan.

In that case, my suggestion would be to consider rugosa rose bushes. They are very hardy, thus easy care ... mainly deadheading the flowers once they have died to provide space for new growth. Hope this helps you, Margaret

You might think about growing herbs, most bloom beautifully through summer and you have the benefit of fresh herbs. Herbs are really easy to grow and there are many perennial varieties to choose from.

    Hi,

Call in at your local Plant centre and see what they have, ask for advice?
