I would recommend an hydrangea plant. The flower is about 5” round. It is a perennial that grows into a bush. It is both very easy to care for, and to propagate.
Cone flowers!!! They come in many different colors, the spread every year and bloom very nicely!!!

In that case, my suggestion would be to consider rugosa rose bushes. They are very hardy, thus easy care ... mainly deadheading the flowers once they have died to provide space for new growth. Hope this helps you, Margaret
You might think about growing herbs, most bloom beautifully through summer and you have the benefit of fresh herbs. Herbs are really easy to grow and there are many perennial varieties to choose from.
