I live in Orlando, FL and received this plant that someone didn't want. Any advice on what it is would be appreciated. Thank you.

It is a variety of begonia .however I cannot pinpoint the variety.Begonias do best in shade and like to dry out in between watering.

this is a begonia rex, it will flower, either pale pink, lemon or white. It doesn't like wet feet, so only water once the first 1/2 inch of the top soil has dried out. More an indoor plant and they don't like direct sun, however, they look great planted on shade under trees as long as they are protected from wind. Leaf cuttings can be taken any time of the year where you are. Slit the vein of the leaf with a razor blade and sit it on moist seed raising mix weighted down with a few pebbles. Cover with a clear plastic bag to create humidity, in about a month you will see new plantlets starting, leave them to get established and pot them on.

How large is it? If it is not a potted plant, it looks a castor oil plant
