What can I do about black spots on my Tomatos?

why is it every year I grow tomatos that when they start to turn ripe,I always end up with black spots on the bottoms of the tomatos

    It is called blossom end rot. It happens when you have a lot of moisture then none then a good rain storm that soaks everything. In other words uneven watering. I am plagued with it as well. You also will need to check soil to make sure plants are getting the right amount of nitrogen. I plant tomatoes with a cup of Epsom salts and then give them a good watering with Epsom mixed in it once a month. When you water your plants try not to wet the plant. Only water the ground keeping the actual plant dry. Hope this helps.

      I had this same problem last year. First I discarded all the tomatoes that were affected on each plant. Then I added about 1 cup of dry powdered milk to soil around tomato plant and watered well. I have raised beds and did this every 2 weeks as long as tomatoes were growing. This year I am going to add powdered milk into hole when I plant each tomato to see if it can be prevented.
