Trying to identify this flowering tree

This looks very similar to my Japanese Magnolia, also called a tulip tree. This is different from the traditional southern magnolia. My blooms are a bit more purple, but look just like that in shape.

Definitely a magnolia. I am from Rochester NY and they come in tree form(not tulip tree) and a bush form. They come in a couple different colors.

You can Google "identify magnolia species", Ashei or Sargentiana possibly, both of which have more narrow petals and a less formed flower.

I believe it is Magnolia Soulangiana 'Rustic Rubra'

Are leaves glossy and a bit leathery? Does flower have yellow in middle? If yes then probably camellia
