How long have they been in the same soil?

First off. they need a bigger pot. If its recommended, plant then in the yard. They go huge out of the pot.

Take them out of the house and out of the pot! They like partial sun and seem to do best close to a building, rather than out in the yard. No need to bring them in for the winter unless you are way up north. In Arkansas they stay in the ground all winter but I do add about 12" of pinestraw over them in the winter. In early spring when the red tops first appear you can dig them up and separate off the babies . Be careful where you put them, they spread a lot!

There are a number of varieties of Elephant Ears, but generally speaking, they like warm temps, a medium amount of light and wet feet. Yours are inside, which is probably warm, but window light isn't going to be enough light for them and clay pots will not encourage the kind of 'wet feet' you need. Even if you keep the pot wet, you'll probably end up with root rot. Wet feet means a good soak, a good drain and then water again when the top of the soil is dry. They also thrive in fairly high humidity. They are tropical, outdoor plants that can survive some cold. If you plant them outside, make sure its a partly shady, protected area.

Agree with putting them outside. Mine grow HUGE here in Florida and multiply. You can cut them back and they come right back.

Thank you all for your advice. I will definitely put them outside and in the ground.

There are no nutrients left in the soil, choose a container the next size up with drainage holes and re-pot in fresh soil
