What do I need to do to my butterfly plant to prepare it for winter?
Should I trim it back and cover it with leaves or something? Should I do the same for rosemary and lavender? I live in zone 5.

I have all 3. I trim it the top down after the leaves have fallen off and no sign of new growth, and I usually trim not more that 1/3 of the plant. After the 1st frost I cover with mulch.
