What do we need to do to our Irises so they bloom again in the fall?

That will depend if they are the re-blooning variety

Healthy iris rhizomes need to be planted correctly. Unlike other bulbs, Iris bulbs (rhizomes) want to sit on top of the soil (and 1/2 way in) so that they get sun and air. See if this might be an issue.

Unless they are the reblooming variety ,they won't bloom again.

And now that I think about this question - I realize I missed the answer! Not all Iris are of the reblooming variety . You will want to research what rhizomes you already have to see if they are re-bloomers.

Do you have the re blooming bulbs? If not, you are only going to get blooms in the spring. The double bloomers are a special bulb. They bloom spring and fall.
