My mom has something that looks like that...she calls it an angels trumpet. I can't let kids play around it cause she says it poisonous....
It is Datura ferox L. Sorry don't know why the text is so big.
It's a Jimson WEED Farmers do not like it !!!! Years ago, watched a man in town pamper one of these--my farmer father thought the man was a bit goofy
Not sure where you live but I found this write up on it that might be helpful. I say get some good weed killer and get it outta there! http://www.docs.dcnr.pa.gov/cs/groups/public/documents/document/dcnr_010256.pdf
If it has nasty thorns it might be gymsum weed. Invasive once it gets established.
It's a nasty thorny weed...I thought the birds dropped some thistle seed, but it isn't a thistle. It spreads by runners and is hard to get rid of. Not poisonous that I know of, but I pull it with thick gloves. Be sure to pull gently enough to get the roots. The thorns can hurt you and or children.
Gypsum weed! You do not want it! Pull and destroy before seeds spread!
Thinking it might be a moon flower. If, when the flower falls off, it produces a prickley, hard seed pod, it most likely is.
Angels trumpet..its very poisonous!
