What is this tiny flower

It is very tiny right now- barely 2inches. The leaves are very soft- feel like lamb's ear. The flowers are very pretty purple on long thin stems. Is it lamb's ear? Is it a weed? It just doesn't look like the other lamb's ear blooms I had. Thanks!

Thanks! I wonder how it got to my garden, maybe in the garden soil I purchased? What a nice surprise. Reading about it, it makes a great houseplant, so I am going to pot it and keep inside since it would not survive our zone 5 climate outdoors.

You're very welcome. I have one in a hanging basket. I have brought it in for the winter and then put it back out for the growing season. Makes a nice houseplant that will flower almost all the time if you feed it African violet fertilizer. Streptocarpella are cousins to African violets. They like bright sunlight but not the sun beating down on them. They scald and have burn marks if left out in full sun. Hope my info helps you to grow yourself a beautiful houseplant you can have for years to come.

I have five different kinds of streptocarpus as house plants, all with different leaves but always the same kind of flower - they are very reliable and easy to care for

don't think Lobelia has the texture of lambs ears --could be different variety of it tho
