I saw this tree and no one knew what it is! It had very curly limbs and the fallen branches are hollow. I was taken with the bark, it so pretty. It has some pods at the branch ends which I have included a photo of also and I collected some of the limbs for mixed media maybe. Smiles, Cyndi

It looks like an Empress tree or also called a Princess Paulownia tree. I have 1 just like it the flowers will be a pale purple (kinda resemble foxglove-- also called foxglove tree, or catalpa tree blooms) lightly scented , very fast growing.

Thanks all for your answers! I found another long tree branch broken off and carried it home yesterday! It was along a roadside. Now, what to do with it. I will have to see it of it hollow inside too. It was pretty lightweight but so beautiful! Smiles, cyndi
