Looks like what we call corn grass. Pull it. It gets tall quickly, and makes everything look messy.

I get them in my veggie garden every year, I just pull them. They look nice until the leaves start flipping over. I usually pull them before they get a foot high.

There is an app called PlantSnap that helps identify unknown plants.

It is very important that you get ALLof the root out. They spread from nodules in the ground and you have to dig around and get every bit of it out. Just pulling it does not get rid of it.

Looks like nutsedge to me also. Prolific. Easy to pull. Do so!

It could be a weed but it almost looks like a day lily sprout.

Roundup for lawns works well to get rid of nutsedge and other weeds. If it's been there awhile, the "nuts" could be very deep and are not easy to pull out. I always buy Miracle Gro potting soil, it has a lot less weds in it.

If it smells like old spice, I'd think it was sedge. But whatever, I agree with the others, pull it out. Very easy but a hassle.

Looks like nutsedge or nut grass. You need to dig it out making sure you get the nut or bulb at the end of roots. If you do not get nut/bulb It will multiply and be even harder. nutsedge or grass is thin. Spider plant is thicker as well as a daylilly.

It is a kind of wild grass.

As it grows root will become thicker, not deeper, and will spread around. It does not kill another plants.

Google plant search just called it a "weed" (generic) They defined a weed as any plant in an undesirable place. I kid you not! At least it is in a container. You can try growing it out and see what happens without it invading your landscape. I agree with the others...it looks like nutgrass to me. It spreads through the root system. Good luck!

idk the name but it looks like a weed that we get here in Northern VA. It seems to be a decorative "grass" plant at first, but then as it gets bigger and the roots get stronger, making it much harder to pull, it gets a spiky seed ball on the top. If that's what you have, pull it fast bc it'll go everywhere!!
