What month should I trim my burning bushes?

    You can prune them at any time just as long as it is not to hot outside.

    Hi, Ferrel, this is a great question, but a specific answer really depends on the area that you live in. You really don't want to trim bushes when it gets over 85-90 degrees outside and you want to make sure it doesn't get below 40 degrees at night. Not too hot, not too cold. I usually prune my boxwoods and golden forsynthia in April and in October, because I live in North Texas. I hope this helps.

    Hello Ferrel. I follow the rule of thumb: From Spring thru Fall prune during months that contain the letter "R" in their name. For example, you can prune in April but not May. May does not contain the letter R. This is also true for any kind of plants and vegetables. I have used this method for many years with great results. Hope this helps. Good luck.
