When can I move a hibiscus plant?

My hibiscus plant needs to get more sun. Can I move it in the fall or wait until spring

    The best time to move a hibiscus is after the flowers fade. If you're in the Northern hemisphere they normally finish blooming in late August or September, so now would be a good time. They need enough time to settle before the cold kicks in.

    Hi. Cut down the hibiscus to about a third it's height. Then dig up and replant in late fall. Mulch well. Happy gardening!

  • Do hibiscus need to covered thru the winters cold winds and snow? I have hibiscus plants in the ground and a 3.5" hibiscus tree.
