Planting outdoors- When the forecast predicts a period of time in which there is no longer any risk of frost. However, as the ground below the surface is always colder than the air temperature, it will not be thawed out enough to dig it up simply when the air temperature gets above 0.

Depending on how much direct sun the area gets, you will probably have to wait until the air temperature gets closer to 15, for the ground to be sufficiently thawed out enough to allow it to be easily worked.

You may want to get the seeds germinating indoors (where the temperature is similar to late spring/early summer temperatures (21C)) to kick start them.

I always Start seeds indoors. Usually in a plastic Mini cupcakes container from walmart, with manure.

Windsor, Ontario is in Canada, where there are postal codes, not zip codes. The almanac website accepts only United States zip codes.

    Hey Flipturn,

Thanks for the info on zipcodes (USA) and postal codes (Canada), you know as soon as I touched the answer key, I had second thoughts on that. Your help is appreciated!
