When is the best time to prune azaleas?

    After they bloom or google you're type of plant for proper pruning.

    In my area zone 9, I prune them before new growth. First part of February when I prune my roses.

    Normally after they are thru blooming. I'm not sure about rebloomers.

    After they bloom is usually the best bet

    The old rule of thumb: From Spring thru Fall: prune your plants in months that have a "R" in their name. For example you can prune in April but not in May. May does not contain a R I have used this method for many years and it has worked great for me. Hope this helps. Good luck.

    Always prune after blooming and before end of June. With this it will bloom next yr.
