The rule of thumb I've always followed when transplantping is to transplant the season opposite their flowering season. My peonies bloom in the spring so I transplant and/or divide in the fall. One thing you should know is that it can take up to 3 years to bloom after moving them.Helpful Reply -

Early spring, after the last Frost, or late fall. It should still bloom, but don't be surprised if it doesn't if you do it in the springHelpful Reply -

Don't know about peonies but in great at transplanting roses. Dig a whole put Epson salt on bottom fill up with dirt and again sprinkle the salt around it. Water it. Have not had one die on me. I've also have taken small rose branch and transplanted same as above. You will be proud when they start growing.Helpful Reply -
