You don't have to divide it, just water and enjoy.
No do not divide the plant.When it starts to become to leggy cut it back.
Hi Teresa! It's beautiful! I agree with Joan, I wouldn't divide it. My hanging petunias require a lot of water. I think the way they are planted, they just don't retain a lot of water. So water well and definitely, enjoy it! It's very pretty!

I use Miracle Grow all the time, Teresa. It's never bothered my flowers at all. Just be sure to remove the dead flowers. Mine did great when we lived in Texas until about mid July and it just got too darned hot for them. We live in Missouri now and they'll hang on until about mid August.
Hi Ladies have you heard of Wave Petunias? They are what I buy for my large containers, they spread like crazy and you don't have to dead head them!
