Bamboo to be planted in the ground is not always allowed due to its invasiveness. Or are you talking about the kind you grow in the house, usually in a vase in water. If it is the indoor kind, I find them everywhere in stores, even grocery stores around here. Check out Home Depot online, I know they have them in the stores right now. You could also do a google search for your area. When I looked up the bamboo palm it had a few sites that sell the plants, they are the top four sites listed. Below that are articles on care for the plants if you want to check them out.

Thank you Nancy ... I know the one you're talking about ... that's one erroneously called that way ... it's not bamboo and it's not a palm either.

I'm looking for a real palm with long bamboo like stems and fronds exactly palm like. Unfortunately I can't don't know the cientific name.

Thank you for trying, though ... I sincerely appreciate it.

I found the name of the palm I'm looking for ... it's "CHAMAEDOREA COSTARICANA" ... you can find pictures and more information on Wikipedia ... and the one that you find every where with the wrong name is "LUCKY BAMBOO" ... couldn't find that one's real name.
