not seeing the plant I am not sure, but it might be pot bound. I had this situation and the hibiscus was already in the biggest pot I could handle. before I got around to concentrating on it the plant died.
I've been told it's too much water or too much fertilizer
I suggest taking a sample of your soil to the local nursery to make sure that its getting the nutrients that it needs - good luck!
