Why doesn't my hydrange plant never bloom i have beautiful leaves

I had one that did same thing......it was was getting to much shade from a large tree. I had tree removed last year (because it was causing roof damage) The Hydrange bloomed for fist time since I have had it, about 5 years.

You also have to have a certain ph level in the soil around it to bloom.

How much sun and shade is it getting?
