When I moved into my home 15 years ago there was a bed with >100 peonies. The plants continue to come up but maybe 5 bloom now. What's going on?

Peonies need an acid soil. Best to fertilize with same stuff you would use for evergreens and rotodendrons etc. Also they don't like to be planted too deep. Plant soil just even to the base of the plant and no deeper. Hope this helps.

Peonies need ants eating the substance off buds to bloom. I had. Friend spray bug killer which killed the ants & ended her blooming peonies.
