Why would some orange trees do good and others die?

I planted 8 trees but 2 died. They were all planted Spring of 2017. They All grew to different heights with some bearing fruit and others no Fruit. Planted in same area. Why is that?

If you live in Fla then Tom McCubbin is your man. Otherwise take the dead part of tree to your nursery. They should refund your money, replace them and what caused them to die. You'll spend hours on the internet trying to find out.
There is no rule of thumb,they could have gotten a disease separate from others.
perhaps some are exposed to weather more than others and the water source may not be dispersing in the same manner for all trees
Try feeding the ones not doing so well......
Maybe there is a problem in the root system or the Soil?
