Can I use ericaceous compost for plants/shrubs i.e. not azaleas etc??

    Depends on the plant. It's acidic some plants will tolerate it and some wont. To get the best out of your plants only use it for those which thrive on it. Usually says on the plant label or you can easily Google the plant and see the recommended soil type.

    You've got it backwards. DO use for azaleas, camellias, gardenias and other acid loving plants.
