I'd like to transplant them into small glasses is this possible ? can I do this or do they need to be transplanted into pots with holes on the bottoms ?? so that the water can drain. I'm hoping you understand what I'm asking .
Thank you in advance,

They may be able to survive in the glass if you put pebbles on the bottom for drainage.

Thank you, Liz so much for your reply that was very kind of you I like to shop at the 99 cent store and they had so many nice little cactus. So i bought a few and a couple of small glasses. So I was thinking i have some some colored stones that i have used to put at the bottom of some of my plants I like to place in water / vases so they can grow roots than I transplant them. I'm going to go ahead and use these stones what do you think instead of pebbles if I don't have any at the moment .?

Cactus doesn't need much watering, just make sure you do as Liz suggested with the pebbles in the bottom and don't overwater them. They do come from the desert where they seldom get water.

You must have drainage holes for all plants. Especially cactus that do not like soil too wet.

It is not a recommended practice to plant in containers without drainage.Plant them in a pot with drainage holes and place them in your containers. When watering take the containers out so the plants to not remain to wet
