Grass typically will not do well under pine trees. Here are other plants that will do well.

go with a ground cover -- no mowing, like shade, tolerate pines ... your local greenhouse/nursery can advise you --- or check with your local Agricultural Agency ... not a 'Big Box' store that just 'sells plants' ...
My last house had this huge pine tree and those needless were endless and they began to drop in August. Rake up those needles, and the grass will grow but you have to remove the needles. Did you know you can make Pine needle baskets?
Pine needles change the pH of the soil. Get your soil tested or buy a testing kit and do it yourself. Rake away all the pine needles and plant something that will tolerate pine soil. Consider thinning the trees as you will have lots of needles to sea with every year.
