Leave the pits in a glass with water ( change water when needed) until pits gets swollen then plant in good soil.
Just stick the point down in a jar with a smaller neck. You can stick toothpicks in it to hold them or put them in soil. They take up to 20 years to produce from seeds. If you know someone with avocado trees you can graft their trees to your seedlings when they are larger for fruit in 2-4 years.
