Hi Donna! Raised garden beds are GREAT for not having to bend over, etc. They can be made with pallets. This is a great one - it's short, but you can make two or three rows: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/-12278119

Just make sure that the size you make it you can reach all areas, if you can only get to one side. If you can get to both front and back you can increase how deep you can make it as long as you can comfortable reach the middle.

I just saw a couple of interesting raised beds in a neighbors back yard. It was too far away to see what is growing in them and they seem real shallow. It looks like they built wood boxes and put them on saw horses for height. Would be a possibility, just use enough of the saw horses to make sure the boxes are secure and stable for the weight and that the boxes are deep enough for the roots to be supported for growth.

My raised beds are 20" and at 4'x6' require 2"x2" stakes driven 20" into the ground. I used two for each corner and the remaining 6 stakes allocated thusly: one in the middle of the 4' width, and two on the 6' lengths. All materials are cedar, although I have considered that rebar might be do-able.

Sam's Club, as well as many other hardware or gardening stores - I'm sure, sell raised garden beds. They appear to be durable and you should get many years use out of them. The appear to be made of a heavy plastic type material so they should not rot.
