I am looking for advice about my lawn. How do I grow a good green lawn

    Not knowing the condition, I'll pretend it isn't so good. So, what I would do is start from scratch and rototill (or however you spell it) and mix good dirt and grass seed and shovel it on your lawn evenly. Then keep it wet for a few weeks. I would also fertilize it in early spring before it gets too hot so it doesn't burn the grass. Of course, most people say on damp grass so it will cling to the blades, but not during a rain shower. This has a dual purpose I hear of killing weeds and feeding the grass.

    We have a lawn service that comes two to three times a year to spread lawn nutrients and our lawn is lush.
