I like some suggestion for community plants for pots business district

Most communities use 1/2 barrel type pots. They are sturdy and impossible to move once filled with soil and flowers, which is a good thing. As for flowers, I wouldn't reinvent the wheel....go to your local nursery early in the spring. They are happy to suggest combinations for the area you live in. good luck.

Another type of container is large metal or terra cotta. Our business district doesn't use the whiskey barrel planters. This is a great example of what ours look like and a great scale for planting in a container.

Galvanized horse tanks... the round ones (from 3 ft on up in size) are a reasonable cost.... will last a long time, won't break, and will hold a lot. They can be painted or not... these are trash cans, etc.... but they look nice.... as people like the idea... you can purchase the really expensive concrete ones later
