My dog is making my grass yellow where she pees. How can I fix this?

    There are tablets you can give your dog called 'grass saver'. My mother uses it for her dog and it has worked well. I asked my vet about it and he told me not to use them as they change the acidity of the dog urine and cause kidney and bladder problems. I would talk to your vet first before using it and see what they say about it before trying something like that though.

    Of course the most permanent fix is to relocate the dog to a different yard.

    IF you can see her doing it, flood with a hose. OR if already killing grass: Here are Thea's three steps to ridding your lawn of "burn" spots:

    1. Rake the patchy areas to remove as much dead grass as possible.
    2. Apply a layer of extra-fine ground limestone. Water the area to help the limestone absorb, then let it sit for a week.

    Cover the patches with top soil then sprinkle grass seeds over them.
