There are tablets you can give your dog called 'grass saver'. My mother uses it for her dog and it has worked well. I asked my vet about it and he told me not to use them as they change the acidity of the dog urine and cause kidney and bladder problems. I would talk to your vet first before using it and see what they say about it before trying something like that though.
