Hi, Ceferino,
Take your questions to a lawn specialist or county extension agent who will ask you about your soil conditions, hours of sun and shade, water availability, animal and bird problems, etc. They'll offer the best advice re: grassseed specific to these issues.
All depends on what zone you live in. Reseeding a lawn periodically is the best way to keep them fresh, but if you don't want to mow, skip the grass. Try planting white clover - adds nutrients back in the soil, never needs mowing, soft and fluffy underfoot for kids and pets, and is drought tolerant. I added in some when I reseeded my back yard last year and love it! Or look into xeriscaping. If you still want to try a lawn, here are some sites to get you started.
