Hello Glen, I would plant them in small pots and keep them in a sunny window right in your kitchen. I have my herbs on a shelf above my kitchen sink. Handy husband made me a shelf for them. I have basil, parsley and chives. Next year I might increase them to include thyme and rosemary. Easy to grow and take care of. I just cut what I need with a pair of scissors. Good luck.

I plant mine right into prepared ground after chance of frost has passed. I tried starting in a container and transplanting and plants were so fragile I broke many. You could also try the peat pots with just 2-3 seeds in each, then set the whole pot into the ground.

There are a lot of starter kits available for first time herb growers, also a lot of big box and garden stores have many on reduced pricing right now. In the summer I have mine in a window box, in the winter they live in my kitchen window.
